One common question since I started this newsletter:

What’s been the 80/20 of your first 275 episodes (i.e. what had the biggest impact on growth and learning vs. what was a relative waste of time?)

In other words: what have the 20% of actions that have had 80% of impact? It’s a fair but difficult question to answer, and in today’s newsletter, I’ll do my best to break it down.

Learning How To Interview

When I decided I was going to start a podcast in August 2020, I spent the month learning how the greats before me did it (Tim Ferriss, Larry King, Oprah, Malcolm Gladwell, etc.).

I didn’t do this as a way to procrastinate. I learned in the mornings and interviewed in the afternoons.
